| Description: | Accommodation in the Jizerské Mountains – Pension pod vlekem The newly renovated PENSION POD VLEKEM is located in the heart of Jizerské Mountains in the small village of Janov nad Nisou in the Hrabětice – Severák ski resort. Our pension was reconstructed in order to fulfil the needs and demands associated with accommodation for schools, ski training camps, children's recuperation visits, sports training camps and further sporting and cultural events. Accommodation for families Families with children can enjoy their stay in refurbished rooms in a mountain chalet style, where the emphasis is on functionality and comfort. PENSION POD VLEKEM offers standard double and triple rooms as well rooms with four and five beds, which can be combined according to the individual needs and wishes of any family. Accommodation for individuals PENSION POD VLEKEM in Jizerské Mountains caters for all visitors, including those arriving on their own. In addition to beautiful surroundings, which are definitely worth mentioning, individual visitors will especially appreciate the effectiveness of the accommodation. School stays in the countryside Due to the mountain climate and pure air, PENSION POD VLEKEM is a suitable accommodation alternative for schools. The pension is especially furnished for this purpose and has a fully equipped sports ground as well as a spacious dining room, which can also double, due to the sufficient amount of daylight, as a classroom. Ski training camps PENSION POD VLEKEM offers winter accommodation near the Severák ski centre. The slopes are suitable for basic training in downhill skiing and snowboarding as well as intermediate training for skiers and snowboarders. Near the pension are cross-country ski trails. The Jizerské Mountains has up to 180 km of maintained ski trails available each year. Sports training camps The mountain lodging in PENSION POD VLEKEM will also be appreciated by all types of sports clubs. The pension offers many sporting opportunities and activities in a mountain environment in all seasons, whether directly in the Severák ski centre or near the pension. Hiking

Cycling
Cycling allows you to see our mountains in all their glory. You can crisscross the mountains and cycle for hundreds of kilometres along the marked trails and roads. You can swap your bicycle for a scooter and take it around the Josefodolská Reservoir.

Horse riding
You can visit the Dřevona sports complex situated 800 m above our pension and put to the test the old saying that the most beautiful view of the world is from horseback.

Viewing towers
There are two viewing towers in the direct neighbourhood of PENSION POD VLEKEM. The Slovanka and Královka towers. Another tower called Bramberk is just a stone’s throw from Slovanka tower.

Water reservoirs
Only a few kilometres from PENSION POD VLEKEM is the largest dam in the Jizerské Mountains, the Josefodolská Dam, which serves as a reservoir for drinking water.
The Mšeno Dam in Jablonec and Beřichovská Dam offer not only beautiful natural scenery but also ideal conditions for swimming.

Winter activities
Downhill skiing, snowboarding
Severák ski centre – at an altitude of 800 m has ten ski lifts and one travelling carpet. Nine of the ski lifts are Poma lifts and the one on the south slope is an anchor lift. The ski centre has a rare type of lift and a ski slope which runs across the bridge and across the road. Ski lifts and travel carpets offer excellent conditions for teaching children and adults. The Severák ski centre has 4,900 m of ski slopes of low and medium difficulty. This makes them suitable for skiing lessons. Most of the slopes are equipped to produce artificial snow. The SOUTH slope is intended for more experienced skiers. The longest slope at the Severák ski centre is Přemostění, measuring 760 m. Night skiing is at the Arnika 1 slope, measuring 360 m.

Tanvaldský Špičák ski centre is the largest centre in the Jizerské Mountains. Since 2003, the main form of transport for the resort has been a 4-seater 4-CLF chairlift by the Doppelmayer company. It is a cable car with fixed seats, where the conveyer belt assists skiers to get into the seat. You can also use an anchor ski lift by the same company. The ski centre has four more Poma ski lifts - Zalomený, Pod lesem, Přibližovák and Dětský. The youngest skiers can make most of the SUNKID mobile carpet. Night skiing is on Tanvaldský Špičák II, Zalomený ski lift.
Tanvaldský Špičák has more than 6600 m of ski slopes. The longest slope is Špičák II Rukáv, measuring 1.670 m with a 200-meter vertical drop. The ski centre has four slopes, measuring more than 1 km, of various difficulties - from the most demanding black up to the least demanding blue signed slopes. All the slopes are equipped with artificial snow making and maintained on daily basis. The 600 m Špičák II Zalomený slope offers night skiing. This is the longest ski slope in the Jizerské Mountains!

Cross country skiing
“Jizerská highway”
Skiers can currently enjoy more than 170 km of ski trails on the “Jizerská highway” spread across the popular terrain of the Jizerské Mountains.
Winter sports enthusiasts can enjoy the ski trails running from the well known ski centres Bedřichov and Jizerky and also from Oldřichov v Hájích, Nové Město pod Smrkem, Desná, Horní Polubný and Martinské valley in Kořenov in the Protected Landscape Area of the Jizerské Mountains. Due to close cooperation with other ski trail operators, for example “Jizerky pro vás" in Kořenov or “Bieg Piastów” in Polish Jakuszyce, skiers can enjoy Krokonše trails on both sides of the border, i.e. the Czech and Polish sides.

The area surrounding PENSION POD VLEKEM and the Severák ski centre has ideal conditions for bobsledding and sledding. You can hire a sledge in the ski centre.
Hiking
The area surrounding PENSION POD VLEKEM has numerous trails suitable for hiking in the winter. You can hike to Slovanka or Královka viewing towers or to the frozen Josefodolská Dam.

| Board: | The pension offers a half board and full board catering service for schools. FB includes five meals a day and all-day drinks.
Individuals or families can book half board. HB consists of 3 identical dishes + 1 drink
FB and HB is in buffet form, therefore meals are not served. The time of serving FB depends on agreement with the teachers or instructors and the time of serving HB is usually between 17.00 and 19.00 hrs.
The pension does not operate its own restaurant or bar, therefore we recommend buying your own drinks.
